Real Madrid easily defeats Salzburg

In Philadelphia, USA, Real Madrid wrapped up their Group H campaign at the FIFA Club World Cup with a commanding 3-0 victory over Red Bull Salzburg, earning a much-anticipated “Clinched a spot in the Round of 16, paving the way for a high-stakes clash with Italy’s Juventus. Meanwhile, Manchester City is set to take on Saudi side Al Hilal after their commanding performance.”

 Madrid Advances, and Vinicius Shines

 At Philadelphia’s Lincoln Financial Field, Real Madrid established the tone early on thanks to goals from Vinicius Junior and Federico Valverde in the first half.  In the 84th minute, Gonzalo Garcia scored a late third goal to give the Spanish team a decisive victory.

Madrid were focused and effective even without star attacker Kylian Mbappe, who is still out with a stomach ailment.  After a tie with Al Hilal in the tournament’s opening round, the win was their second consecutive multi-goal triumph.

 Salzburg Collapses as Al Hilal Makes Progress

 Red Bull Salzburg of Austria was eliminated from the competition as a result of this outcome.  “Saudi Arabia’s Al Hilal climbed above them in the group rankings after securing a solid 2-0 win against Mexico’s Pachuca.”  After losing 5-1 in the UEFA Champions League group stage, Salzburg’s loss against Madrid was their second against the Spanish powerhouse in 2025.

Bellingham and Vinicius  Take the Lead

 In the 20th minute, Vinicius Jr. “Jude Bellingham delivered a brilliant assist, but Christian Zawieschitzky came up with a crucial save to deny the opportunity.”  However, before halftime, the Brazilian star made up for it with two crucial moments.

 He caught another long pass from Bellingham in the 40th minute, dribbled it cleverly past defender Joane Gadou, and blasted low into the corner beyond Zawieschitzky.  Five minutes later, Federico Valverde finished calmly to make it 2-0 after he had given him a fantastic backheel assist.

 In the 66th minute, Bellingham also made a vital defensive contribution by deflecting a goal-bound attempt from Edmund Baidoo of Salzburg off the line with goalie Thibaut Courtois already beating.

 Five-time FIFA Club World Cup champion Real Madrid will now play Juventus in Miami on Tuesday, preparing for one of the tournament’s most eagerly awaited knockout matches.
